Right after the Poole extension/altercation I would've leaned towards him being petty and leaving even for a worse contract, but it feels obvious GS is ready to bail on Poole and Kuminga and pretty much throw that "two timelines" angle in the bushes.

Hard to see him leaving Steph now unless someone like Dallas makes a ridiculous offer he simply can't refuse.

And the Warriors are a middling team at best in that same period.
Nah 2015-2020 still had Klay and Iggy as great defensive perimeter pieces, and Loon would've hit his stride on the back end of those years to sure up the center position. Bogut was ahh it best but if we're replacing Dray with a Derrick Favors/Illasova/Jae Crowder type no reason to believe they wouldn't have measurable success:yeshrug: .

Uncertain grounds

MAVS HAVE KYRIES BIRD RIGHTS
SO THEY CAN SIGN DRAYMOND 1ST
THEN GIVE KYRIE THE MAX.

NBA may have gotten rid of that scenario with cap holds and renouncing of rights. I think Kyrie has a 42m cap hold. If they renounce the rights that number opens up but then they would lose his birds. I may be wrong

yeah kyrie's cap hold alone has them over the cap. the only way they could go after draymond is by sign and trade assuming kyrie re-signs. now if kyrie leaves and the mavs dont trade anyone they could still maximize cap space by waiving bullock saving them 5 mil since his contract is partially guaranteed, stretching bertans, and renouncing al their free agents. that would leave them with only 6 players under contract not including their draft picks. they would have i think around 40-44 mil in cap space plus their full midlevel, and biannual exception.
