I get what you're saying that makes sense. But looking at the last couple Emmy Awards, you can tell the Academy doesn't really keep up with TV like actual TV critics do. I swear The Film Room could do a better job.

This is just a side note to the thread but the problem isn't who votes on stuff like the Emmys....it's the process is really bizarre. They don't watch whole series, they receive whatever episodes were submitted and in some cases not every judge sees the same episodes.
