Yes I saw Concussion and I thought Will was great. His best dramatic acting since Pursuit Of Happyness. And you of all posters should know I will ride for black excellence above all else.

Leo's performance was better than Fassbender's. Fassbender didn't blow me away, but Jobs as an overall film was great, I actually debated changing my vote for best screenplay to Steve Jobs but when I view it against Spotlight, spotlight gets the slight edge.

Interesting that you say this because most people seem to think the opposite.:ehh:

A lot of people say the movie overall was good but could have been better and that Fassbender was the best part.

Yeah but black excellence can't be a blind ride breh lol. Gimme Michael all day everyday. I love the movie and since he's in every damn scene and the focal point and clearly it all rides on his shoulders, how can he not be that dude? And I'm not saying you're riding for will on some blind shyt I'm just saying for me, if I got two performers one black and one white and if the white guy had the better performance than fukk if he had the better performance.

Nah I liked the way it was set up. I felt they did something different and unique with the "Three Act" set up. Kate Winslett, Seth Rogan, and Fassbender ALL did their thing. I didn't feel like any one performance lifted the movie though and when I think "Best Actor" I think of the performance that best enhanced or defined the movie itself. I felt like Matt Damon, Will Smith, and Leo were far and away Not only the best performances of those respected films, they brought an energy, soul, and intensity that made the movie itself worth watching JUST for those performances. Matt Damon spent an hour basically talking to himself and was fantastic. Leo's slow, painful journey of survival and revenge was the most RAW physical performance of the year, Smith took a controversial subject matter that could've been boring and created a warm, determined character who you WANT to root for and see succeed.

Fassbender didn't really put his "stamp" on Jobs in my opinion, not in the way he did Shame, Hunger, 12 years A Slave, or even as Magneto in First Class

Oh man I disagree on Fassbender. I think the fact that he could take Sorkin's words and make them his and not perform them in any way similarly to any other lead actor's who had his dialogue, and truly sound like an individual character does it for me. And then those little moments like when he says he's not made well and clearly hiding a lot of pain and regret under the veneer of being smarter than everyone else and the way he played this guy just a tad differently for each decade. The movie doesn't work without him wrapping his head around the performance and the dialogue. Clearly there's not as much on his shoulders as Leo and Matt though and Matt deserves so much props for basically being THE movie and having to do all of that lifting and before Leo's performance, I'd bet on him winning the oscar but that ship has sailed
