Lots of ppl have you just haven't heard of it.
Plus not too many ppl I know have actually been to Dubai (or the UAE).

I found out about it cuz we stopped there for a week when I came back from Afghanistan and all our support staff that were there told us about the crazy gold souks.

A lot of army dudes made out real good there haha

I can vouch for this ..just came back from Dubai not too long ago.. Most people dont know because they dont have the money to get out there..let alone get out there go on vacation and pick up some pieces.

The gold souks there is basically like a mall filled with gold dealers. Every store selling gold and jewellery. Lots of competition for you.
And you can negotiate with them too. Just like going to a regular market or bazaar.

I'm in India now and have a 9 hour layover in Dubai on my way back to ny. Might look into that....although you can get quality good for good prices here too.
