I think if you a younger nikka then it's cool to be about that "workout partner" life; cause that means that you know off rip you gonna spend at least two hours in there, depending on what and how much (sets) you training. A nikka like myself who has a family and other obligations, it's all about maximizing my time. My workouts are about an hour and fifteen minutes, so no time for chit chat and socializing. Plus, like another breh said, that's MY time. Put my headphones on, hit that house music workout track or stream that house music radio station, and get my swole on.
Exactly I be smh at cats who have time to go every day....

I'm in that mental space right now only because I'm a newbie. I know I'm not getting the most out of my workouts due to a few reasons:

1)My form for various exercises, both free-weight & machine, isn't good.
2)I'm nervous about using the assisted pull-up/dip machine as a big dude(poor reason, I know)
3)I don't want to lift without a spotter(basically because of my sketchy form).

Once I fix and overcome these things I won't beg anyone to come work out with me. Too many flakers. If I always waited on someone, I'd never get my workouts in.

I like having a squad to go with, but don't like working out with other people personally. I prefer it when we're all doing different things. When I need a break I can say what's up for a bit then go back to my grind uninterrupted. Working out with other people gets mad distracting for me and lengthens the workout to insane degrees.

I love working out by myself I went years without talking to another human being at the gym

Even when I catch bytches looking at me I ignore them and stay focus

Only you can push yourself

It's just you and your mind over matter

I don't have a training partner, but Iam one of those guys who knows everyone at the gym, and am part of the social scene, get invited out places. But it's a very select crowd ,we are all serious trainers and only have quick chats during rests, or when setting equipment up.It's nice like that, as I have noticed in other gyms I used to go to, people never talk to each other so you end up in situations where people are on hogging squat racks or whatever. Because we are all friends,we know each others routine, so we make sure a certain piece of equipment is free for someone and even strip the weights off if needs be.

I personally think training partners are an inconvenience, especially if you are a very tall dude like me and try training with someone who's say 5ft 9 . or you are someone who trains a certain way, some people get much out of short rests others take a 5 min break.who cares right if you grow and get stronger, but certain training people respond to it different. I myself do extremely high volume with short rest periods lighter weight than average and focus on form and doing negatives , 70's style bodybuilding training, no one else in my gym trains like that. I also know someone who was training for a bodybuilding contest and trained with a guy who had competed in the past, and the guy who had competed in the past was a beast, a real beast one of those guys who could leave the gym for 6 months come back and bench and squat massive numbers and the guy training for his first contest got injured trying to keep up with him.

Breh, why did you hit me so hard in the feels? :wow:

IDC what anyone says, lifting with another dude who lifts hard and doesn't mess around is better than lifting alone. The intensity is at a whole other level :mjcry:
