They did indeed steal plans for the Chengdu J-20 right? Was it the F-22 or F-35 design they stole?

It looks like the F35

They STEAL everything. Even their carriers are stolen designs.

Friend, this thread isn't about promises. I have NO DOUBT Romney is talking shyt and lying.

This isn't about that.
The what is it about?? :what:

You say u like Romney's stance on China and IM saying it's much easier to say "IM gonna get tough on China" then it is to actually do it!

Listen to Romney on day 1 he plans on...
- repealing Obama care.
- charging Ahmadinejad with inciting genocide.
- declaring China as currency manipulators.
- reform immigration
- approval for the Keystone pipeline

:comeon:

I call bullshyt!

Honest question- I wasn't listening closely at the time, but wasn't Romney's position on China, at least in this last debate, not so different from Obama's? It sounded like he softened up his language quite a bit from all that extreme yellow peril stuff from earlier in the campaign.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not endorsing Romney, saying to vote for him because of this issue, or neglecting the fact that he is a hypocrite in matters involving China.

I think we as Americans are too soft on China. They bully us around a bit. They have been caught time and time again of trying to invade our IT/Network systems through state sponsored hacking. They do as they will with their currency. Steal our IP and sell it around their country and the world.

We have had congressional hearings in the last month warning that they might be putting backdoor technology in the products they make for us (which is most) that would allow them to cripple our communication and economy.

We keep bringing up Iran, but forget that China currently props up a North Korean regime.

Then we go and tip-toe around these issues because trade is good and we owe them a trillion dollars? Is economy THAT much important where we might be sacrificing national security?

Or am I wrong on this?
the idea is correct. the reality is not.

What romney said about china and what romney would do are two completely opposite things. and thats why obama called him out again and was like "nucca please. you aint gone do.... to china.. you do business with those people and ship jobs over there like clockwork. stop pandering and keep it 150 with the american people."

Thats the REALITY. so never say "I agree with romney's stance on anything. cause you dont know his TRUE stance or actually you do, by the way he operates when he cant pander. and we've seen records. the guy ships jobs over there has many investments in chinese companies. and sorry he cant call his investments blind investments when he just so happens to have his son Tagg's company in his portfolio.

building sweatshops in other countries and finding alternative manufacturing options is not the issue (overlooking the OBVIOUS fact that ALL these manufacturing jobs should be anchored in the US).

The bigger issue is china owns too much of our debt for us to start trouble.

plus we cant bully them militarily like we can most countries.

sure china would take a hit in any kind of economic or trade war with the US, but we would be completely devastated, not only economically but socially.

You're only wrong for calling it Romney's stance.

Bu given our own constitutional liberties, we are tough on China economically and security wise. And given out constitutional liberties, thats our only weakness against China.

Romney's tarrif policy will only launch us into an absolute losing situation. Not to mention, for all you anti-SOPA/state shut down folks, you don't think your personal liberties will be the first thing sacrificed??? Security wise, how else do you fight China??? We already hack them/fight them hacking us.

We do need to be tougher on China, but it won't happen because they keep buying our debt and our companies absolutely love their dirt cheap labor. All of this was planned long ago, so the jobs aren't coming back ever. We all were duped as these corporations told us the lie that we are moving to a 'knowledge' economy, which was why we needed to ship those manufacturing jobs to other nations, since those jobs are beneath us. Now they are attempting to ship over the so-called 'knowledge' jobs as well.

at the end of the day, the United States is the biggest currency manipulator.

China holds trillions in dollar-assets. They have a right to protect themselves.

their currency is pegged to the dollar. the input variable here is the USD.

Big Business needs them friend. If not for China, products would cost more, the consumer would have to pay higher prices, and these American companies might actually have to increase wages and labor advantages to come in the US. God forbid we do that.

That's not what would happen. the products wouldn't be made or labor would be replaced by automation like europe or japan.

if Romneywins, america is going to be in such hoopla with all its challenges...
and they would try to erase obama history in the WH

obama another 4 years, yes

Romney:
- came off as immature
- unknowing about global markets and world leaders
- overly aggressive
- Romney would make american citizens enemies because of Romney policies...

Stop with the China paranoia. We've been invading their systems for decades now. Air Force cyber warfare is no joke. China props up NK because they don't want to be surrounded by even more US-friendly regimes. Why would they help the US and lose leverage to South Korea and Japan in the region? Obama new defense strategy is to shift resources to south east asia - it's one of the reasons he was so eager to leave Iraq and Afghanistan. We are a threat to their future regional aspirations - economically and militarily.

"The future of politics will be decided in Asia, not Afghanistan or Iraq, and the United States will be right at the center of the action." - Hillary Clinton.
America's Pacific Century - By Hillary Clinton | Foreign Policy

China should be really worried about the US.
