DISCLAIMER: I'm not endorsing Romney, saying to vote for him because of this issue, or neglecting the fact that he is a hypocrite in matters involving China.

I think we as Americans are too soft on China. They bully us around a bit. They have been caught time and time again of trying to invade our IT/Network systems through state sponsored hacking. They do as they will with their currency. Steal our IP and sell it around their country and the world.

We have had congressional hearings in the last month warning that they might be putting backdoor technology in the products they make for us (which is most) that would allow them to cripple our communication and economy.

We keep bringing up Iran, but forget that China currently props up a North Korean regime.

Then we go and tip-toe around these issues because trade is good and we owe them a trillion dollars? Is economy THAT much important where we might be sacrificing national security?

Or am I wrong on this?

I said that off the bat. I'm not talking about the person, but the message presented. Hell, I don't even believe Romney actually believes what he said.

I'm talking about the tone and message.

Can you separate the two friend?

but he's not gonna do sh1t to China when he get in there and Walmart comes to him on some  breh, we need that cheap sh1t. Then all of the electronic companies go him and is like "Shut the fukk up:damn:"

Big Business has a need for china. They aint payin n1ggaz here minimum wage to do what they can get people to do for pennies in another country. It's more bluster and false bravado from that azzhole.

The T/S said that though...I think the T/S may have a point though. What Romney says about China and what Romney actually does with China will be two completely different things but I think it's a valid point he made last night.

No doubt. Which is why I asked: is economy the number issue, above even national security? It's an obvious answer, but I find it troubling.

This is why the two party system sucks. They feel they have to attack the message simply because it comes from the other side. The points raised were valid, regardless of who it came from and his history involving these matters. I have NO doubt in my mind that Romney will come in and tap dance for big business.

This is about what our stance on China should be.

We aren't aggressive on china because it would start a trade war which not good for either country. Obama has been tough on china though their currency has risen to what it was before, we have put many trade cases against them also, anyone can talk a good game about being tough on china but the issue isn't so black and white. Sigh..

You talking about billions in profit margins and cheaper goods for consumers.

How many U.S. bonds does China own??

It's easy to say this shyt to some 50 year old hick in Mississippi but someone who is somewhat in tune with what's going on will say :comeon:

Romney won't do shyt and ill tell you why

Big business want cheap labor and china will kick them out in a trade war. Prices with SKY ROCKET

God dammit.

Why are you making this an indictment on Obama? I already said Romney would come in and flip-flop. I'm talking strictly about the tone and message, not the a$$hole liar who said it.

Is that so fukking hard to understand?

Also, that is exactly my point. Should we tip toe to avoid a trade war but put ourselves in a military and economic disadvantage down the line?

Romney will find out just like Obama did...it's much easier to talk that shyt b4 u get into office than it is to deliver after u get in.

If u notice Obama is just vaguely suggesting we stay on the same path as oppose to making promises much like Romney bc Obama know's the reality of how hard shyt is once u get in.

Big Business needs them friend. If not for China, products would cost more, the consumer would have to pay higher prices, and these American companies might actually have to increase wages and labor advantages to come in the US. God forbid we do that.

They did indeed steal plans for the Chengdu J-20 right? Was it the F-22 or F-35 design they stole?

It looks like the F35
