What DAW are you using?

Do you put anything on the stereo bus? like a limiter everything runs through?

It just sounds a bit thin, maybe putting a limiter to kinda glue it together and raise the volume would help

I usually mix into the Aphex Vintage Exciter, the PuigChild670, and the L2 limiter on my stereo bus in that order.

Also mix with the volume only half way up on your audio interface, if it's cranked while you're making the beat or mixing the beat, it'll feel like it's louder than it really is.

How'd you EQ the sample? Do you compress the drums at all?

DAW means Digital Audio Workstation. Fruity Loops basically is your daw for all intents and purposes as you mix there. The stereo bus is just the main 2 channel output that every track eventually runs through. Prolly called stereo out. Or main mix or something to that effect. That's where I put the L2 limiter. Don't over do it though. You can 'crush' the mix to much.

every thing was gucci, until I started getting hella clippind due to the delay effect...how do you fix this?

Perhaps you might be right. Out of the 3, I didn't have a clear direction on that one. There are parts of the chop that sounds too happy for me but also can be a "back in the days" storytelling track.
