Heading to Cancun next month. Anybody rented a car on their trip? And is so what all went down. Reading some crazy reviews about the rental companies robbing people blind.

Flying into Cancun next month. But the wife and I are staying about 9 days in Cozumel. Can't wait.

I went with the wifey to the Royalton, great resort...they had just opened up so it was on point

But I went at the end of January, worst fukking weather ever, shyt ruined my trip

chichinitza was hella cool, playa del Carmen was whatever

Did u rent a car? How did u get around the hotel zone?

I took part in a tour sponsored by the resort, they provided the tour bus etc

dont even bother goin there, shyt is tacky, too americanized, the clubs r wack, the people r clowns...

Renting a car?

Nope. You can basically walk to everything in Cozumel or take a taxi.
So we are taking the bus to Playa, then the ferry over to Cozumel island.
Pretty cheap. There's only about 100,000 people on the whole island and only about half of it is populated. The rest is forest.
