Going to Cancun & Playa del Carmen. Share the trip knowledge

So I am going to going to Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico March 9th-16th. I am going to be spending the 9th-12th in Cancun, and the rest In Playa Del Carmen and also checking out some other places. What can you share about your past trips there? I am going with 3 other friends. Its going to be 2 white dudes and me and my other friend are black. Im turning 27 on March 8th to put it in perspective. Not really going there on a college spring break trip(been there done that at other places when I was younger) but I won't turn down spring break bunnies LOL. What is the beach scene like and the best clubs and bars to go to? I hear Playa del Carmen is less americanized(hopefully more Latina and European women I could mingle with ) I also plan on checking out some Cenotes and Tulum.

Just came back from there, last June. We (me and my man) stayed at Playa excellence mujeres. Had a great time. Visited Tulum, very educational and the structure of the mayan temples is breath taking. Makes me want to visit the Pyramids in Egypt.

Playa del Carmen is FANTASTIC. You will walk around with a boner hnnghing left and right. hit the beach spots and have fun.

cancun is also great, straight clubbin. Each night of the week, a different club is the spot for you to head to (i can give you a list if you need it). overall, its a great place, but you better be prepared to approach some females.

- When you get out of the airport in Cancun, there are going to be a bunch a little Mexicans trying to sell you some dirt weed. Just go get a cab and head to your resort.

-Research ahead of time whats going on those few days you're there and plan accordingly with you boys. There is going to be alot going.

-Go to Wal-Mart and buy spring water. Don't drink anything with tap water i don't care what resort you stay at. If you order drinks make sure it's not on the rocks. You don't wanna have diarrhea the rest of your vacay.

- As someone mentioned, stay in the tourists zone and if cab driver asks if you want some culo tell em nah, unless you want to see the darkside of Cancun.

Been to Cancun twice for Spring Break and it's always amazing . Go to "The City" for at least one night and bag a chick or two. Make sure you cool with the security guy at your resort if you plan to bring an outside chick in. Break him off 10 dollars or something cuz they strict af of letting non-guests in.

Be careful trying to buy drugs in Cancun, Z's run that town, and the retail drug money is the bottom tier racket for potential victims of kidnappings and executions...not that they will target tourists, but a wrong time/wrong place sort of thing.

its cheap and you get to get away for a few days but i would never go back
