This nikka was mad at the world. I, as the listener was getting called all types of bytches, bytch ass nikkas and fakkits before the artists even dropped bars. Maybe my ear has been tainted by DJ Khaled and the like but hearing Kay Slay talk is a reminder that we are in a far different world that when he was doing his thing.

Tyler was just hitting on him heavy, talking about he wanted to fukk Flex from behind and shyt

Is he still on hot 97 late night? Haven’t listened to that show in a long time. I remember hearing all the exclusive disses and songs before his mixtapes dropped :wow:I miss that era.

Above the fray.
Gotta say that Clue, and others killed the mix part of mixtape. Ever heard J-Love mixing? He's awful. Clue just made it about exclusives, and was disliked by many DJs because he quickly rose to the top, and started making the most money.

Then you have DJs like Evil Dee and Tony Touch, who hated those 4-track DJs like Rectangle, Geo ROC and Juice because the 4 track guys would splice tape reels together and take weeks on a tape, where they would do a 1 take mix and record it live. If they fukked up, they started again.
I thought Ron G, S&S and Action Pack were the only ones who were actually doing mixtapes.......blends and such

I have some boxes of old mixtape cds and those djs made mixtapes that you can still listen to because of the skills and song selections.

clue, etc had the hottest songs and freestyles of the moment...but didn't age well at all.

It was blatant and raw aggression. Dude was always accusing his listeners of being gay or soft lol

TAKE A BAT AND WRAP IT AROUND YA fukkING HEAD

Was I the only one who felt the need to apologize for his drops, when you played exclusive shyt in the car? And the volume suddenly rises like 5 levels, as he comes on during the hook ranting like a mad man.
I’m dying reading this lol
