Unnecessary love story subplots ruin a lot of potentially good flicks.
That 98 Godzilla was campy and miscasted. The script was horrendous.
The tone of this movie is the draw besides of course the big monsters.
I hoping for an open ended finale or cliff hanger and not some happy we beat the monster conclusion type bs.

Well Gareth Edwards did go on record to say if he got a sequel it would be an re-imagining of destroy all monsters
