But thats the point, I dont see what was bad about it. Most of the outrage seems like it came for "casting" the not enough blacks things. Doesnt seem like if had anything to do with the content. This seems like one of them movies that if it came out in another climate or time wouldve killed it.
I almost wonder would similar movies that were more successful wouldve been in the same situation. I dont recall any diversity in LOTR (they had mad other species but no blacks), 300 had one black guy and he died in the 1st 30 mins and only had like a half a page of dialog, no blacks in Immortals, non in Wrath, man... I can go on.
I'm not trynna over defend the movie and claim it deserves MOVIE OF THE YEAR accolades and put it in the positions rightfully deserved by BvS or realistically more than likely CAP3. But just saying, this movie was far from terrible and I came in here expecting as worst "SKYLINE or 2015 Fantastic 4" level shytty or at best Daredevil Mediocrity and missed opportunity movie level.
The movie was straight, Gerald Butler killed it (arguably his best role since 300) and the rest of the cast was solid, the CGI was decent, the flow of the movie was nice (didnt really have any sappy or boring parts), and the action and fights scenes were enjoyable.
