I haven't played Ragnarok since I beat it when it came out. Unfortunately, I didn't like it as much as the 2018 game. I felt like a lot of the upgrades were almost overwhelming like there were so many choices for you. I preferred how Ghost of Tsushima handled the upgrades.
Valhalla is great because it's simplifies your weapon path so you can focus on using that weapon while mixing in others should the need arise. And it looks like the perks are limited, so you're not having to worry about managing a whole bunch of different s*** to choose from.
It's really tailor made for a roguelike experience. It really feels like God of War: Returnal. It's like a streamlined, distillation of Ragnarok like Lost Legacy was for Uncharted 4. Got me more hype for Last of Us 2 No Return.
I remember trying to beat the Berserkers before I stopped playing the main game, and this one dude, I don't remember his name, but he must have killed me like f****** 10 to 12 straight times even with resurrection stones.
I was like "f***** this. I'm done."
After playing Valhalla for an hour, I had to stop cuz the Celtics game came on but I said "you know what, let me try this Berserker mufukka one more time.
And he killed me two times in a row when one more hit would have killed him
On the third time, tho? I dropped his ass.
Valhalla really does make one "master thyself"
