I don’t even get what you’re saying BUT what it has to do with this particular game is exactly what I said…if you go off of history (20 years of history), why would you expect something different?
Because in video games, unless it's an annual release like Madden or 2K, the previous release dates don't really mean anything. I'm saying it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense to assume the game's not coming out this year just because the other games didn't come out in the first two years of a console's life cycle.

Breh, you're trying to galaxy brain some shyt that's easily explained by reading a fukking Wikipedia article or two.
God of War couldn't come out with the launch of the PS2 because the studio didn't exist until a year before the PS2 came out, and they developed another game first.
God of War 2 got rushed into development, and comes out in 2007 on PS2, since that was the easiest way to come back with the sequel quickly. I still remember there being people who wanted them to push it back to put it out on PS3, since it came out AFTER the PS3 launched.
God of War 3 goes into development right after that, and comes out three years later. Looking back, that's surprisingly fast considering they had to port their work to PS3 when it wasn't easy to develop for. Still didn't make people any more patient on the wait for it, though.
No one cares about Ascension, but that's a thing, I guess. It came out in 2013, right before the PS4 comes out.
GOW 2018 obviously comes out in 2018.
Even if you just look at release dates like you were doing, we're about due this year, especially since it was already delayed out of 2021. The only long stretch between games was between Ascension and 2018, which could be attributed to the negative reaction to Ascension.
History obviously does mean a lot, but history without context is just numbers. The situation for why or when a game comes out is unique to each game, aside from sports games.
