Fox seems to make these F4 movies out of spite, just to keep them away from Marvel.

They are better off focusing their energy on their own X-Men/Deadpool/Mutant universe. They have access to all these characters, so I don't understand what their problem is. I guess lack of confidence. They have more interesting characters at their disposal than the fantastic 4.

I don't know why Fox insists on keeping the Fantastic Four. With the X-Men universe they can keep putting out films for several years. There are still a lot of stories and characters in the X-Men universe that haven't been put on the silver screen yet. Marvel can put out a B tier character and is confident in their product. Fox wants a damn near guaranteed success, which is why they would keep a well known group like F4. They where reluctant to even put out Deadpool for years. Now that Deadpool was a success, hopefully they will follow up with projects like X-Force and not take 10 years to do it.
