welcome everybody to round one of the GOAT finisher tournament

we gonna kick this thang off with two classic high flying moves, the frog splah and the elbow drop

Tourney Rules

Frog Splash looks cool when done by certain people but I’m gonna have to go with the Elbow Drop. More than anything because it looks like it would hurt more than the frog splash and it definitely still looks cool too. Especially Kairi’s version

This is tough. I gotta marinate on this one.

Edit: Only thing that really separates these great moves for me is that one is harder to perfect and was made a staple in pop culture by an icon. There's only 2 outstanding elbow drops imo (Macho Man and Kairi Sane). Everybody else is derivative of those two. We have a clear evolution of the move.

While there's countless great frog splashes; nobody has out done @Art Barr 's yet. Eddie came close and was technically perfect if you never seen the first one. RVD chose height over technique. D'lo went old school frog technique and is slept on but didn't have the grace. Tanahashi's is great but is transition move.

Voting for the elbow drop cause Macho GOAT used it, Kairi's was a thing of beauty, and is one of those moves you just can't spam.

Punk's one was a disgrace, tho.

This is tough.

But MOST people who employ an Elbow Drop tend to finish people off with it. These days, the Frog Splash is more of a believable nearfall than lights out finish.

I too will marinate, but I think the above deal might be the tipping point.
