Instant neg rep. Perfect example of how ignorant whites are when it comes to racism. Are you really this naive? Times haven't changed at all.
What part of that post shows ignorance?
The part where I said some blacks are still bitter over slavery/segregation? You're gonna tell me that's not true, especially after some of the posts in this thread? I'm not saying they have no right to be upset over what happened to their people centuries ago....just that they ARE.
The part where I said times have changed (and if they haven't, please show me a place in the U.S. where there are blacks forced to do work for little to no pay.....prison doesn't count, by the way)?
The part where I said a lot of whites are still racist in some amount (unfortunately)?
The part where I said we're in a position to co-exist and move forward? Race relations (in the U.S., at least) has never been better. Sure, there are still race issues (and I believe that's something that will never completely go away, unfortunately).....but that doesn't mean things can't continue to improve. We've gotten to a point where the majority of white America decided to have a black man as their president (and make no mistake, the white majority is the reason for that happening). That's something that would have never happened in the 60s. I hope we can get to a point where blacks can be more angry about/focused on the discrimination they face TODAY, rather than something that ended many years ago.

Ayo on everything, shut the fukk up, speak in this condescending bytch ass tone to any self respecting black person in real life. I wonder how your attitude would be if the shoe were on the other foot.
First of all, calm down, dude.
And how was I condescending? All I said was that times have changed, that things have generally improved between blacks and whites since the days of slavery (they clearly have), and that you guys should stop being so emotional over things that already ended years ago.
Shoe on the other foot? In reference to who? You (I assume you're black), or an actual slave? I'll say that my general attitude would be VERY different if some random guys came, enslaved me and my family, raped all of my female family members and forced us to work for him for the rest of our lives. I'd certainly be pissed. I'm thankful that didn't happen to me.....and I hope you are, too.
But if I were you? Well, what's your life like? Let me guess.....being followed around in a store, but still able to buy food? Being pulled over more often by cops, but still able to buy and drive a car? Having to work harder and beat more odds in order to make more money compared to certain other people....but still having an opportunity to achieve a high salary (or any salary at all)? Being locked up for longer periods of time compared to certain other people, for doing something that I knew was against the law to begin with?
What would my attitude be like then? Well....other than doing my part to fight against those disadvantages/that discrimination for the sake of my kids and grandkids (and in the general interest of fairness), I'd be pretty grateful that I have an opportunity to provide food, shelter, clothing and education for myself and for my family.
