NBA is a bad product brehs. You know scrub ass teams are never gonna win. If you're from Milwaukee, Charlotte, Minny, Toronto, NO, Houston, Portland, New York, Philly, or any other team not LA, OKC, SA, MIA, CHI, or Boston, why even care about next season or the following seasons? You ain't winning shyt.

At least in the NFL, you know your team has a shot at becoming a champion if management makes the right moves. In the NBA, superstars ain't going to those scrub cities.

Cavs are on a 3 year countdown. If they dont' put a team around Kyrie he's gone.

Im glad u can tell the future..Bottom line is the Cavs have Kyrie to build around and will probably get another high pick or two..the Nuggets are who they are with not much room to go to the next level without a star..

That's the same boat they were in with Melo only without the star player making the max. They have loads of young talent and you never know if Gallo, or Lawson, or McGee break out. Sure having a star to build around is the preferred situation however there are no guarantees of any sort of success or of the nikka sticking around if you do have that star. The Nuggest know this better than anybody.

None of those players will be good enough to be franchise players you build around..

To be great in the nba you have to hit rock bottom and totally rebuild..the Nuggets chose to stay in mediocrity

Wouldn't surprise me if the NBA tried to add the franchise tag to avoid all of this.

One star player is not as impact in the nfl as they are in the nba, that's just facts of how the game is played . And in all honesty there should be some contraction in the nba because there isn't enough super elite talent to spread around the league.

While that's true the Nuggets could be one of those rare teams like the Pistons from last decade that competes without an actual superstar. They have a lot of young talent over there. If worse comes to worse they have pieces that can be traded. Let's not forget they had a guy to build around for 7 and a half years and had nothing to show for it. Can't knock them for going different route, the lottery will always be there. Do they have anybody signed long-term?

How about just stop punishing teams that draft well and give guys a reason to actually stick around? I've been saying for years all they have to do is take away max salaries and allow teams to re-sign guys they drafted at whatever cost they chose with a limited cap hit. Instead of making guys stick with bad teams how about you just pay them more than anybody can come close to and allow their team to have more flexibility when it comes to putting players around them at the same time? shyt is so simple yet it still hasnt happened. :smh:

Just the way the NBA is set up breh. The whole guaranteed contract concept have these nikkas getting fat and lazy once they get that big contract. NFL's got it right the way they structure their contracts. And it's much worse in the NBA because since you don't have that many players, once you give out a few big contracts to players who wanna get their Oliver Miller on, you're done as a team.

That's why NFL is always gonna be :king:

Unless they start handing out fully guaranteed contracts too
