Marc Maron has been a comic's comic for years, interviewed Obama in his garage for a podcast, and had a great IFC show...the fact that this has given him much due shine is even better.

I got to see Annie's Boobs. This was amazing, I'm probably going to rewatch because it was simply that good.

Maron plays the exact same character in this show as he did in his own show, which is basically just him. I'm a fan, but don't really get to check the podcast that often these days.

Finished it today. Pretty good show, loved all the inside jokes. I do think it suffers in places because they fail to give some of the unlikeable characters any redeeming factors. Sam Silvia and Ruth work so well because despite their fukk-ups and unlikeable traits, they come from misguided awkwardness and human mistakes, so you can relate to them. On the other hand you have a character like Melrose who is introduced as an egotistical bytch and in the same episode immediately push the limit on it with the miscarriage bit. They never do anything to redeem her so for the rest of the show you can't help but just think of her as a total bytch, making her completely unlikeable no matter what she does. Same goes for the Ethnel en Edna characters, two worthless afterthought characters who have nothing funny going for them and just kill the show every time they appear. With a bit more effort this could've been really great, as it stands most of the show is carried by Allison Brie and Marc Maron.

what alot of people dont know or havent picked up on anywhere is that the exodus theme is a ode to mr perfect, his theme was just a couple notes off of the theme from exodus and at house shows early, he WAS using that exact theme.

Great 1st season, I really enjoyed it.

It took a lot of guts to write Ruth sleeping with her best friend's husband twice and later having an secret abortion in the first season.I know I hated her from that point on. Sam the director is hilarious especially when he insults Ruth, but his funniest scene is the look on his face when he finds out his dream movie has already been made (Back to the Future). Don't get me started on Liberty Belle, that bish is thicker than three day old oatmeal. That scene where they were booing and spitting on Beirut was completely accurate of todays climate for muslims around the world. But for me the greatest moments are when Ruth is doing her Zoya the Destroya accent.:krillindead_1:. When she is proposing a match to Liberty and Sam in that accent. "I call this move the bread line" and the finisher "Vodka for breakfast" :krillindead_1:. When they are at the drive in eating a burger and she says in her accent "In Russia it would take one months salary to get this level of cat" I fukking lost it. I also didnt even know the welfare queen was Awesome Kong until I finished watching the show. .All in all, great show, a 8.5 out 10. I'm looking forward to see where they take the show in season 2

Took me a while but finally finished it.

This was a really fun show. Great mix of TV drama and legit wrestling "inside the biz" stuff. And it had some pretty funny moments too.
