Why do people have a vested stake in whether or not Drake is considered a rapper or not? :mjlol:

He makes popular music. Sometimes it’s rap, sometimes it’s not. Does it really matter either way?

It’s weird how Drake stans want him to have all of this unearned “cred” as if that justifies their fandom, and it’s weird how Drake detractors analyze every move for the point of discrediting him.

He’s one of the biggest musicians ever, no more no less :yeshrug:

Dude he's talking to argues like a woman, but a lot of men do

Glasses Malone was right, but he explained it wrong

All he had to say was grew up with white mom, ain't know how to pronounce nikka, and had to get spoonfed his put on rap swag from Houston

A lot of Black ppl are c00ns, and will go out their way to defend ppl they have no connection to breaking into their culture

Eminem is barely hip hop too imo

His best era played off white angst, was heavily rock influenced, and he is where he us because of the I don't listen to hip hop but I love eminem

I mean this debate is much bigger than this thread and this video. But I feel you :yeshrug:

But this debate seems to consistently come up for people who have become superstars.
And Drake is a superstar now- regardless of how I or anyone feels about it.
It's just not a good look when people like Glasses Malone get spotlighted not for their recent music or creativity- but for their opinion on stuff way out of their sphere of influence.
not saying its untrue but is Glasses even a B-list rapper?
Anyways it comes across as hate/envy
All folks are entitled to their opinion but I'd much rather see Glasses put that energy into making his own stuff better rather than talking about the next person.

You must’ve missed my initial point.

This isn’t just a glasses Malone take.

This is a take that’s been a take for a while.

And who cares.

Drake is a juggalo but Glasses also did a song with twiztid which makes him a juggalo affiliate

Not sure if i agree because I don't listen to drake to know if he bites people but shout out to juggalo Drake
He was giving a lot of love to the Juggalo's in a interview with Bootleg Kev last week

Drake had two back to back weak albums, his last decent one was Certified Lover Boy and that was also mediocre. He’s abandoned the rapping and made pop friendly music more than ever. I think him beefing with Pusha played a part in it.
Drake has had the same formula since his debut lol. It’s been rap on every album, singing, pop records, etc

Yall just make up stuff tho

ghostwriting, nut swinging, biting, ducktales and general tom foolery but the biggest issue with drake is he's from the suburbs?
hot garbage take from a guy who never made a single thing i can remember besides his rap name which sounds like an underboss villain in batman

bracing for a long list of unnecessary tax brackets, crime statistics, population, and general information on each user's hometown
