@mastermind already shut you down in this discussion but as a Hawks fan I've seen breh first hand. His advantage is at C where he is more athletic & quicker than most centers. But against teams with more length and size he shrinks. That doesn't mean he shouldn't play the position, but it's a bad matchup anytime he plays legit Centers...shyt I still got flashbacks of how Wop used to hoe him out when he was in ORL
yep.....also Bos doesn't have another big to help take attention off of him.

Can't knock Bos for signing him but they definitely could've saved that money

Idk why teams insist on playing him at the 5.

He's not strong or athletic enough to play C.

Where did I ever say he can't play C at all nikka? Don't put words in my post:what: I specifically said teams shouldn't play him there. Same with Bosh. Him being chosen for reserves because theres no one else really is irrelevant to the main point.
making sure you all see this post. bolding and making the text larger too.

this nikka is fighting a war with the English language.

He got overpaid, but signing him wasn't the problem. He's a good fit for the team.

Thing is, this team needed a complete overhaul of the frontcourt. But all Ainge did was swap Horford with Sullinger and call it a day, which as we've seen thus far this season and what I expected to see from the jump, is not enough

Why are you basically repeating what I'm saying?

Horford has been miscast as a center his whole career. He can play the 5, because the nikka can ball, but against other legit centers, he usually looses the match up. He just isn't strong or athletic enough to match up

I always wondered why the Hawks never got a defensive center and moved him to the 4. It would have been just like it was with the Gators, Noah played the 5, and Horford did work at the 4.

:dwillhuh:

You just said teams shouldn't play him there. I'm telling you that they play him there because he has a quickness and athletic advantage against most centers. He loses that advantage against teams with bigger front lines & more length
