It's just fine once Kyrie and Hayward come back.
Who should they have signed that summer?
I’m speaking in general - comparing him to other max guys
It worked for Boston because they have big contributors/future picks on rookie deals

Bullshyt. Y'all would be making pump faking jokes otherwise.
Like I said, they're a game away from the finals with his two "Big" compatriots having played ZERO playoff minutes. They would not be here if they stood pat that summer. Hayward likely doesn't choose Boston if Horford's not here.
Breh I'm a Celtics fan, and I always talked negatively about Horford cause of shyt like this
I don't like moral victories of where we are now. Can't just lean on "we gotta Game 7 though". We shoulda been in the Finals last night if this dude scored at least 15 points. Dude was non-existent on both ends of the floor
Ain't no moral victories, he's doing what he was signed to do
He had one bad game and you tryna act like he ain't been balling this year earning that contract.
Breh he's been trash every road game the Celtics played against the Cavs have you been watching them, thats not what "star" players do
The C's have been trash every road game. But they're here in large part because of his play this postseason. Other than LeBron, no other "star" has gotten this far without another "star" to compliment them* and Horford lost his complimenting "stars."
You nikkas is clowns. You shyt on the contract yet can't offer up what they should've done instead. Foh.
Cuz he's delivered, you clown. The rest of the Celtics been trash on the road cause they're role players or rookies. Horford is 32, a multiple time all star and has playoff experience, whats his excuse? Out of all the people to cape for, you're caping for Al Horford?
Cuz he's delivered, you clown.
If they stood pat and did nothing that off-season (as you think they should've), those role players and rookies would be in Cancun.

So 16, 8 and 3 this postseason is worthy of a max deal? Or is this "an intangibles & leadership" conversation?
I understand the principle behind what you're saying, but those non-stars have actually been more productive and impactful in a # of road games than Horford the "star" has been. You can't use that argument as if he's holding up his end of the bargain, because he's clearly not - him being a "star" in this context is simply a label and nothing more. His performance yesterday was inexcusable for someone who's supposed to be the leader of this team.
Except he hasn't - unless, of course, you don't think too highly of him, to begin with.Ehh, yes I can because he's been doing exactly what's been expected of him. Nobody expects him to put up monster numbers, that's not his game.
I don't think it was a "bad" signing per se, I just believe he needs to play A LOT better - anyone trying to argue against that clearly hasn't been watching the games.Since others keep avoiding the question, I'll ask you two: since y'all think the Horford signing was such a bad one, who should they have signed?
Except he hasn't.
