i'm a people watcher. other peoples lives are interesting to me. so its a good way to watch. i don't post pics a lot, maybe 2 a month. i mostly watch...

This is a really good question as I just joined a few weeks ago out of pure bordom. I only post pics of random places I go...usually the outside of the establishment. And I check certain friends and famous peoples' IG. However, at the end of the day, it really serves no purpose outside of getting meaningless attention. So, with that in mind, I might just close it down since its simply a time waster.

I really trip off the IG philosophers that always drop these life and relationships "truths." Its always funny how the IG models will have a bunch of "a real man would" type of memes surrounded by pictures of their ass cheeks plastered all over their board. Even the somewhat less ratchet women will make an effort to show off on IG, and its all for BS attention and photo likes.

What makes me literally laugh is how everyone has "haters" now. People post "hater" memes all the time as if people really give a damn about them. People will show off their little paycheck money that they spent and make dumba## hashtags name dropping and then get mad when people clown them. Dudes trying to show off IG like Rick Ross Jr on his 50k salary. Chicks trying to act like divas on their Payroll Specialist wage.

IG gives people a chance to be an internet, make-believe celebrity in their own mind. For the most part, IG is simply about attention whoring and showing off.

We're currently living in a narcissistic generation.



If the human race is wiped off this planet, other life forms will come and find all the digital memory and existing photographs of the last 5 years and wonder what was so fascinating to this species that we had to constantly be recapturing the memory of ourselves with pursed lips in a bathroom mirror.
