A big part of me isn't worried. It's only February. We were missing AD and Schroder in this game and everyone was off. While it would have been nice to beat an elite East team, it still felt like we were due for a loss having won 8 of 9. Harris and TLC aren't shooting like this every night, and neither are we. If we put on a showing like this two months from now, I'd be worried.

I don't think LA could get the salaries to match for Fournier with Bamba unless they trade Schroder, which would be foolish to get rid of their only other ball handler.
Fournier has put in work as a secondary ball-handler, I think if forced you could make due with him and Caruso. And honestly it would probably be easy to pick up someone's backup point guard via trade without giving up too much - someone like George Hill, Patty Mills, Derrick Rose, or even Lonzo.

I think having a point guard issue probably would be worth it to get Fournier and Bamba, cause I'm just not sold on Schroeder being a #3 option that leads them to a title.

You don't become 2nd in the west with a shyt offense. Guys are overreacting.:yeshrug:

Our offense is not consistent.
Our defense is ranked #1 and offense is ranked #15, I am not sure what a shot blocker would have done tonight. I agree with you that we are inconsistent on offense, Schroder and Montrezz should be able to give 20 on any given night but they have struggled and we are shooting 29% from 3 over the last 10+ games.

The offense is the reason why we have had any losses, not defense.

On a more important note, Cook, Matthews, Schroeder, Dudley, Kuzma, and Markieff all got exactly 1 player vote for the All-Star Game.

How many of them you think voted for themselves? :lolbron:

Or did someone like Dudley or Bron throw together a full Laker-scrub ballot to get them all on there? :russ:

Also, Caruso got the most fan votes of any player who didn't get a single player vote.

Cmon breh dont be delusional, respectfully. If the Laker guards keep playing like they have ALL year its a WCF exit if that. AD is already iffy. Bron 36. The ONLY reason they in this position is cuz of Bron and AD and a not so tuff schedule. Wes had one good game all year. Kuz can make shots sometimes but hes not a force. When the last time he scored 30? Caruso cant hit the broad side of a barn but has shoe deals. Like WTF. Dont get me started in KCP smh. When you play elite juggernaut teams you gotta step up. Shyt is frustrating

You probably right, but I just see it as a shooting slump, other than Wes, he just sucks.

But worst case scenario who is even available to come to Lakers, or who is even tradeable on Lakers?

The only one really slumping is KCP and him returning to form isn't guaranteed.

Schroeder has never been a reliably good 3pt shooter. Kuzma has never been a reliably good 3pt shooter. Markieff has never been a reliably good 3pt shooter. Matthews is showing right now exactly what you should expect from him and no more. Caruso can't shoot. THT can't shoot.

Like I said over and over in the offseason, what the Lakers needed most of all is one really dependable shooter to pair with KCP. A core lineup of Bron, AD, KCP, and good shooter would be perfect for the playoffs (5th player would be Caruso, Markieff, Gasol, whoever depending on matchups). But they're just missing that one good shooter they can rely on.

Literally everyone on the Lakers is tradeable except for Bron and AD. Caruso probably shouldn't be traded cause he's worth more to the Lakers than to anyone else, KCP likely won't get traded because the Lakers expect him to return to form (though of course they would give up KCP if it were necessary to grab a star).

I think a package of some combination of Kuzma, THT, 2nd round pick, and either Schroeder or Trez could potentially land a solid 3+D or elite shooter, with potentially a backup PG or defensive big included in the trade to fill out the Laker lineup, especially if Schroeder or Trez were leaving.

nikkas talking about the Lakers need a shooter, what happened to Bron Curry?

:mjlol:
Just reach forward and you'll find him.

Nets have three elite shooting stars in KD/Kyrie/Harden and STILL put additional elite shooters around them, Warriors had the two greatest shooters in the NBA in Steph and Klay and still went running to get a third elite shooter in KD, but you think its weird for Bron to have any reliable shooters at all in his lineup. :mjlol:

They would be crazy to trade Kuz unless they could finesse Clint Capella and Rondo. Bamba is the most likely target and he is not worth Kuz.
