It's interesting it's obvious that some Cape Verdeans have strong spaniard or whatever roots, I mean looking at them you'd swear they were latinos. While others

Not all cv's are mixed. It really depends on how close they are to their portuguese roots. Typically a portuguese man slept with a slave and then the the offpsring sleeps another portuguese person/half portuguese. This is why so many of us are light. Others mix with puerto ricans. Others get with africans on the island. Many in america just get scooped up by dark skinned aggins and others marry white boys. Some never mix with anyone and maintain all of their african roots. Most of us consider ourselves black. Even the severely light skinned ones. If 2 cv's are hooking up they should consult their families first to make sure they arent cousins
