good season premiere, glad the show is finally back and in rhythm

nothing big really happened except the hannah/adam "maybe breakup" thing, everyone is the same

ray coming in with the t-shirt and shorts like


two really hilarious lines, "he would've killed himself for being so gay and little" and adam's little speech in the beginning

say what you will about lena dunham, but this show is very well written. this season opener was pretty fukkin worthless tho. a scene where shosh picks up her diploma? who gives a shyt.

not gonna lie tho, i'm pretty excited the show is back.

It's HBO's little vanity project. I envisage it doesn't cost that much to produce and Lena has a way of keeping her name in the critics eyes without ever really catching heat for anything. Their plot is about people living their lives so they'll never really run out of ideas. I can see why it continues to get renewed, but as a viewer, I kinda feel where you're coming from. Season opener was empty for me, didn't even really set up the season too tough.

My sis watches it, and every time I've caught it I can't believe it's still on. I don't get it at all.

Because of my wiring, I read it in the script and I went into total action mode. I got everyone together and I was like, “All right, Grace [in wardrobe], you and me — we’re going to come up with something so ingenious that he is going to feel comfortable.” I mean, think about where he is, right! It was our first day back of shooting and it was my birthday — everything was happening. I grabbed the makeup girl and said, “I want to smell like a cake,” so we put vanilla cream everywhere so everything smells good. And then I’m like, “Grace, we’re going to rig something invisible from the side but that feels like a pillow when he puts his face into it.” And, that’s what we did! You wouldn’t know; it’s total TV magic. (In Entertainment Weekly, she explained further: "It was so elaborate — it involved Spanx that we cut away and glued down and involved menstrual pads and two of those weird thongs.")

That's true, but I don't think they're comparable just because they are both series led by women.
