The most disturbing thing is after the accident the first thing that popped into her head was to pull out her phone and hop on social media :why:

To be fair she was already live streaming before the accident occurred :francis:

Crazy when you step back and take a look at humans and how widely they vary.. on one end of the spectrum you have people like Einstein, on the other you have a slew of motherfukkers like these who put thousands of lives at risk and kill hundreds everyday because of their selfishness and need for constant attention... Notice more often than not they are never the victims of the tragedies they cause... shyts infuriating.

STOCKTON, Calif. —

A woman who was convicted of drunken driving while livestreaming a fatal crash was arrested Thursday after leading Stockton officers on a chase, authorities said.

Obdulia Sanchez, 20, was arrested on weapons and traffic charges, according to the Stockton Police Department.

“What she did here in Stockton (Thursday) morning is alarming, because she was just released from prison, is on parole and is already engaging in criminal activity, such as leading our officers on a pursuit,” said Stockton police officer Joe Silva.

Police said they tried to stop Sanchez, the driver, around 1:30 a.m. in the area of Rosemarie Lane and Piccardo Circle for having expired registration.

Sanchez took off, running two stop signs, a red light and leading police on a pursuit. She drove off the road near the Interstate 5 on-ramp at March Lane, police said.

A man in the car was able to escape, police said.

Sanchez was taken into custody without incident, police said. A loaded gun was found in the car, authorities said.

Sanchez was sentenced to six years in prison for driving drunk while livestreaming a crash that killed her 14-year-old sister.

Sanchez veered onto the shoulder of a road in Los Banos. She then overcorrected, which caused her car to swerve and overturn. Her sister was ejected from the vehicle and died.

According to prosecutors, Sanchez, who was 18 at the time, was livestreaming on Instagram while driving. The video shows her taking her hands off the steering wheel.

Sanchez only served 26 months and was released Sept. 21 for good behavior.

“As a result of prison overcrowding, they have reformed the sentencing rules in California, and a lot of people that are incarcerated get out much earlier for good time credits, for participating in programs. And that’s what appears to be have occurred here,” criminal law expert Allen Sawyer told KCRA 3.

Sanchez is expected to be in court Monday.
