i texted her because i was curious, i never really ask her because i just usually treat it as a surprise to find out what's on deck when i get there. she said: ox tails, peas and rice, plantains, fried dumplings and some steamed broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. and carrot juice with some rum cream or guinness (that's the weekly drink). last week it was curry goat.

and since i usually go over in the late afternoon she saves some sunday breakfast for me to have on monday morning. nothing extravagant usually a rotation of breadfruit, green bananas and fried dumplings along with ackee and saltfish and callaloo (collard like greens) that she grows in her garden. last week it was breadfruit, so this week is green bananas and next week is fried dumplings. i eat good monday mornings when i'm in town and honey bunches the rest of the week. from rich to pauper in a day.
