Why is it shocking that people like attending exclusive, elite events (parties, dinners, etc)? Most of us experience that on some level in high school and college. The Roc Nation one is just a richer version of that. I don't get why people obsess over it, either negatively or positively. It's not some gathering of the masters of industry as they plot their next ventures. It's just some rich dudes toasting each other and enjoying access to some rich dudes.

The one thing I do dislike is the fact that certain influencers (Rory/Mal types) spend every year saying dumb shyt hoping it gets them invited. Reminds me of when EA and Ubisoft used to have those expensive parties and invite gaming journalists who gave their games good reviews/press.
