Didn't Chicago SWEEP Orlando and Jordan lit penny up for 47 points or some shyt like that lol. Jordan's had his ass busted on the court before it's the NBA
It was an extremely banged up Magic team

Penny and Shaq killed but their supporting cast was hobbled or injured

I thought about this the other day.

Jordan dominated but 90s seemed to be the “Big Man” era.. 2000s was Shooting Guard overload , PG era seemed to hit a stride for half the decade and now it seems like the Small Forward this decade is the stacked or most talented position as it stands right now.
probably say 70's(dont know about it) 80's, 90's, were the big man eras. But during the 80's and 90's. you had great pass first pgs, and hyper athletic 2 guards(some SF's).

The late 80's and 90's era balling perimeter players that were not pgs did not have the handles of todays nba player.

BUTTTTTTTTTTT. They could score the same amt of points in less moves. To some degree more efficiently. Until you remember that a lot of them couldnt shoot 3's that well. But today a lot of SG's that are top athletes can't shoot 3's that well either. it's the pg's chucking like crazy right now.

Kyrie mr handles, mr and 1 mixtape after and 1 mixtape, the real hot sauce, the real skip to my lou on a NBA court in real time during a real game. uncle drew. playing with the defenders with his handle. But go look at the tapes. Watch how often kyrie breaks an ankle and brings a guy back into the picture to break his ankles again. then explodes to the basket. You dont get points for the double ankle breaker move like you use to in NBA streets the video game. you dont get Badge points like you do in 2k. This is real life. break his ankles once and put the ball in the basket. stop Bull.... around. this is why i love to watch kyrie...On another team. Because its great entertainment and when he holds the ball playing around for 15 seconds vs 7. It wont bother my team when it starts bothering his teammates. and wearing him down during the season.

the original IT from detroit had mean wicked handles too. But he wasnt over dribbling for the sake of over dribbling.

Kyrie is a real life nba 2k dribble gawd. dribble, dribble, shake shake, dribble, hessi, shake,, hessi, speed boost, and go.
the real IT, dribble, shake, hessi, basket/ or dime.

you see the difference?

outside of analytics telling these guys to practice shooting 3's more than 2s. thats about as far as it goes to their efficiency. because what this GEN gains in Shifty shakes and ankle breaking moves. they lose in basketball IQ because they are going east to west never going towards the basket. A smart defenders will just stand there and watch the show. wait for the show ends or a commercial break. then guard you(pay attention to how kawhi guards these type of guys when he's healthy.)

But there's a reason why they are not as intelligent even though they have more information from watching the originals and all the tech and videos. Just watch a high school game or AAU. all you see is a bunch of kids with shakes and handles for no good reason. So if you do all that shaking vs pippen. you dont think a top 50 player with that top defense will eventually realize you're just an over dribbling guy and wait for you to make your final move?

Due to the rule changes we dont know how kyrie or these other shifty dudes would fair in the 90s where guys could put an arm on them to keep them in place a bit more. sure we know how they look in an era where you almost cant guard perimeter guys without a foul being called.

You can only play who is in your era. What counts is what you did to separate yourself from your contemporaries.

Arenas' logic applies in the reverse, the athletes 30 years from now are going to look much more superior than the athletes today.

It's all relative. Ignorant a$$holes in 2045 will be saying "but, but, but LeBron didn't have to play against as many great athletes of today" not realizing the great athletes of 2045 used the knowledge of those that came before them to progress the game.

What did you do against the greats of your era, that's what counts.

It's actually easier to play defense against drivers today, no matter how big or athletic or talented they are. You can zone dudes up and pack the paint and dare them to shoot (see Giannis, Simmons).

He already addressed in the A.I. compilation where A.I. is shaking tf out of nikkas without a hand in sight

Handchecking is completely gassed and you cannot handcheck a player with speed with a deep bag of dribble moves right to left and who can step back and fire on a dime.

Kyrie Irving would be unstoppable in a pre-zone era where he would have to be defended on an island or hard doubles and he’s definitely not a guy you want to full court press

Im from Miami we really called this nikka "Baby Jordan" :mjlol:
the baby jordan came when he was playing in High school in Inglewood , CA, then that transferred to his days at USC, then to the nba.

he did have MJ mannerisms. He walked like him. and he had some of his moves. but the whatever he did or didnt do when it came to the heat is a mystery. that boy could not get off the bench for extended mins to save his life. sure he wasnt a good passer. sure he was a bad defender. but so what. most shooters back then were not good passers and were horrible defenders with zero athleticism. yet they got playing time. Baby J did something or said something wrong to the staff or management and was basically stuck on the bench for his first few seasons. any time they woudl give him consistent run he would score like he did in college. bad de, suspect team iQ but scoring ability. sounds like a solid 6th man to me.

this dude is so emotional and weird
He clearly is speaking in terms of Grant being an outlier during that era.

You dudes sometimes....sheesh. Yall need everything spelled out for you

So in an era when Eric Bledsoe and Marcus smart are 1st team all nba defenders, prime Jordan and pippen would get exposed defensively?

Gilbert arenas is nothing but a troll. He's aiming for clicks and views. Why are folk pretending that he's some serious basketball analyst?

THIS IS ALL IT IS....

HES FIGURED OUT
MENTIONING MJ/90S GETS THE INTERNET BUZZING
SO NOW HES ABOUT TO RUN THIS shyt INTO THE GROUND.
