I'm #TeamKwame but I kinda liked that response from SAS
Espn said we might as well embrace the fukkery has it could mean clicks and ratings. The "E" does stand for entertainment
Anybody ever saw that old school movie called "Network" where an old has-been washed up newscaster, Howard Beal, who got low ratings snapped and went off on some other shyt one night and they had to take him off the air. But the funny thing is it became the talk of the town and drew some of the biggest ratings the channel has ever gotten... so much that at the end of the day the gave him his own show to rant and rave and go ballistic. The movie was way ahead of its time and kind of mirrors this Kwame Brown situation.

as far as number picks Anthony Bennet drafted in 2013, was far worst than Browne, and did last in the league nowhere near as long as Browne

I think y’all would be surprised how many players averaged the same numbers as KB and played just as long, but I feel the term bust is now being changed. If we are talking expectations for a #1 pick overall then yeah he definitely under performed, but in life no he made millions and played for 10 years. I rock with his commentary on sports media but I just hope other players who had shytty numbers don’t come out crying victim.

I haven’t heard anyone mention Kwame’s Brown name in years until that All the Smoke Podcast.
Everybody keeps mentioning Bennett, but he was never the consensus #1 pick in the draft like Kwame was. He was never suppose to go
#1. A GM thought he was the smartest guy in the room and picked him.
Also, Darko was clowned in live time for being the #2 pick and bullied by his own coach and teammates in the media, the year they won the NBA championship.
