I'm a huge fan of his, in my opinion he's the second best songwriter behind Stevie. I lucked out and caught a show of his at BB Kings less than a year before he passed. Check out his poetry and his memoir The last holiday, its a good read.

I'm a huge fan of his music. It has a lot of meaning and soul that can keep you going. Another artist I like is Ahmad Jamal, he's not a singer but plays the piano nonetheless, his music is just as great to me.
