I'm sorry brehs...This was a uninspiring pick..I don't understand the cats worried about Eli learning a new system....What "system" already existed?? Throw the ball to Odell Beckham Jr?...Takes a real genius to figure that out:martin:...Wasn't it his brilliant idea to have running back by committee??...Only for the running game to take off once they settled on Rashad Jennings:patrice:...The reason Eli has played better the last two years is because he has a top 3 receiver, not Cacadoo( soon to be Coli gold..thx in advance to the breh who coined that term)....For a "classy" organization, the Giants really shytted on a two time Super Bowl winning coach if this holds true...While I felt Coughlin's time was up, he deserved better than that:mjcry:...While I like to see a brother in the GM spot, the team would have been better firing Reese as well and starting completely over

Giants gonna giant. The Giants don't make sexy hires or splashy movies. Anyone who follows the Giants thought McAdoo was going to replace Coughlin sooner or later. He lead the Giants to some of their most productive offenses in team history, and has Eli playing some of his most efficient football of his career. He was gonna get an offer from another team sooner or later.

P.G. County
So Sullivan is the OC, Phillbin will have another role (probably OL coach) and

McAdoo is going to call the plays:patrice: that's a lot for a HC to deal with especially in his first year

I don't think this job is as attractive as people were thinking.. this is a shytty situation, you have Eli is 35, last years of his career, window to win is very small, if they don't win and have to draft and develop a new young QB, ownership is probably going to want to start fresh and have a new coach in place to do that with.

I feel like it's a test period for all 3, really - Reese, McAdoo and Spagnuolo.

Get into the playoffs next year, and it'll buy you all time. Win a ring, and you'll be kings.

The biggest pressure is on Reese, who has to kill the draft and spend all this cap space wisely.

"Jerry knows this is on him. I've had that discussion with him," Giants co-owner John Mara said. "He can't hide from the record. It's up to you to get it fixed because the last three years just were not acceptable."

Mara made it pretty clear the target is on Reese now to deliver a competitive roster
