Crazy statline, but is alarming how he needed all of that just to beat the tanking sixers.

If I'm a playoff team, I want Bucks in 1st round. They are food without Dame like if your 2nd best player heading to the playoffs is Kyle Kuzma, not even prime Jordan would carry these bums.

It's kinda cool but also unfortunate that we have about 5-6 generational talents in the league at the same time (Jokic, Giannis, SGA, Luka, Embiid*, and soon Wemby) who have/will continue to hinder each other's future "all-time" narratives. aka They're all right there as top 15-20 talents, but only so many MVPs, scoring titles, rings, first team selections, etc., to "validate" it.

Not even getting to someone like Anthony Davis who is everything people pretended Rasheed Wallace could be.. aka the perfect hybrid of Duncan and KG, but AD never had the durability or proper career decisions. He's one of the most talented pfs ever but missed his shot for at least a one-off mvp like Malone and Barkley were able to get.

*And yea at this point Embiid as kinda hindered his own self.
I’d take Embiid out of that list, other than that I agree with everything you said. Giannis was my MVP for 2023, and had him 3rd last year (Luka, then Shai)

Top two player in the league. Only SGA has a case for being better right now.

Yep. The online and analytical cacs have been on a crusade with dikk riding Jokic. You can see how they've been downplaying the team around to have the excuses in place for the next couple of years of them not winning anything.
They also using this narrative to push for Joker's campaign

I honestly think Giannis is gone after this year. Bucks prob not getting out the first or second round with their trash roster.

Kuzma is trash, Lopez is old and a free agent, bobby portis ain't picking up that player option, connaughton is washed, taureaun prince and gary trent goign to get paid elsewhere, Kevin porter trash but can make more than the player option. Lillard going to be a ear older and only has another year left.

I mean, of the foreign 5 (him, jokic, sga, luka, giannis), he's unquestionably the least reliable and most fragile both literally and mentally... but that 1.5 regular season/100-game stretch of 34ppg 11rpg, 4apg, 2bpg, 1spg... :whew:

...he was on the same cheat code Jokic, SGA and Giannis are currently on for the regular season.. but yea unlike Jokic and Giannis (his peers in age, more so than Shai and Luka) he's failed way too many times in the playoffs for one reason or another. Now with the injuries, it does feel like Wemby is gonna replace him in that F5 list and Embiid will be one of those forgotten coulda/woulda stories he'll podcast about on Thanasis's YT channel in 10 years.

Exactly. They bring up how Jokic has never played with an all star, like Jamal Murray isn’t an all star caliber player who’s been their closer a lot of times. Like Aaron Gordon wasn’t the player who put them over the top when he got traded to them. Michael Porter Jr. is averaging 18 and 7 this season. In fact, these are players who average double digits for the Nuggets:

Jokic - 29.7
Murray - 21.6
Porter Jr. - 18.2
Braun - 15.2
Gordon - 14.3
Westbrook - 13.4
