KD was 1/7 when guarded by Giannis tonight and turned it over at least once.

I do get your point though. If the Bucks are gonna play drop coverage with Lopez (which is idiotic anyway), Giannis can't navigate screens well enough to make KD work as much as PJ Tucker would. That's his one weakness as a defender.

But if you put Giannis at the 5 and either blitz or weak the screen it is possible, and it worked tonight. The problem with that, however, is Giannis can't expend that energy and provide 30/12 at the same time.

Which is why I have a feeling that they'll continue using Tucker until crunch time. Next game Giannis will be the primary defender on Durant when it matters if Bud is serious about winning.

He’s been great all series. People are just mad that his game is ugly. Before tonight he was 31/12 on 56% shooting for the series. He’s been killing the nets but people want to talk about a power forward not being able to shoot 3s. Hilarious.

It's more about the fact that the Nets are supposed to have a gigantic defensive hole at his position and as the guy who has won MVP the last two years he's expected to do more than 30 and 12 in a losing effort. 30ppg is fine if you're going up against an elite defense or if you're doing enough to win, but it doesn't look so good for an MVP in a losing effort against a shytty defensive team.

Pointing out that before tonight he was 6-25 from 3pt and had turned the ball over almost 5 times a game (more turnovers than assists) is a bit of nitpicking, but back-to-back MVPs are going to get nitpicked when they're losing series.

Should just adapt to PF and play in the post. I commend the effort on attempting a jumper here and there but he doesn't need to bring it out until it's ready. He too dominant inside to be shooting 3's consistently.
