The reality is they bought a sinking ship but these devs are too lazy to properly compete with COD so the ship has taken way longer to go completely under.
Now the best selling franchise every year is “sinking ship”

Sony stans crazy.

Meanwhile there is an actual sinking ship of a publisher who was “acquired” recently but yall don’t wanna talk about that :mjpls:

Subs increase doesn't hit what they are looking for maybe?

Unlike the past, MS is footing the bill for COD development, marketing (well Sony lessened that part), servers, etc whereas Activision did in the past.

But on the flipside, they get the Lions share of the revenue now from Sony/PC.

Thinking If the GP Subs increase doesn't hit projections, it may push their plans for more multiplatform development or just go straight full publisher in the future. There's a lot more personnel and much more costs involved vs the past. Can't trust Phil, but Nutella is doing too much hinting on wanting to go full multiplat/publisher.
Yep, Microsoft is spending money both developing and marketing the game now. So 70% of sales for them cost more than 30% of sales for sony who no longer have to pay for a marketing roll out every year on top of a higher % to Activision. I think sony were paying them 35%

they are really relying on increasing gamepass subs with this, a huge demo of would be buyers of COD could overlap with people who already subscribe to gamepass which is a loss of sale and not increasing subs
if sub numbers don't increase its a fail

No man, that's not how this works, ABK is more than just the A. Unless development of COD jumped up drastically then its a non issue... MS is getting 70 percent of whatever sales on playstation, which is an increase of 100 percent from 0 as well as 70 percent more from the platforms they sale it on.
Its almost a fail proof situation, even if subs barely moved and the game performed as it typically would its a W for MS.
70 percent is a huge amount of money for a game like this... It's like yall don't remember just how much Sony was depending getting that 30 percent from ABK according to the leaked docs

If not here you go...

And at the end of the day everyone still gets to eat. Consumers, Sony and MS.
