Marc Gasol will be very ineffective this series unless Cousins gets burn. I hope Nurse realizes that early and pulls the plug quick.
I dont think he really depends on Marc for the sake of expecting the world outta him. He just made sense to run with their iron curtain strategy on the rim vs Giannis. Less bodies available now, but they ran Jonas less than 20 minutes against these guys each, in the previous two matchups. Theyll probably run some witch spray on OG to get him out there a lil

A lot of similarities between that Pistons team and this Raptor team.

Both faced a team from the state of California
B. Wallace/FVV -both went undrafted.
Billups/Lowry -traded multiple times early in their careers and then became 5 time all stars
R. Wallace/Gasol - both are big men acquired at the trade deadline.
Prince/OG -both were drafted with the 23rd overall pick 2 years before they played in the NBA finals.
Coaches Larry Brown/Nick Nurse - Larry Brown won his first NBA title in his first season as the Pistons head coach. Nick Nurse is in his first season as the Raptors head coach.
Ben Wallace was a multiple all nba and DPOY,and you compare him to FVV?:hhh:

It all depends on whether KD comes back and is anywhere near his top form. If not the Raptors can focus all their attention on Steph and reduce transition opportunities and thusly force the other Warriors to beat them in the half court. Obviously you can't do this with KD out there. Raptors are the exact type of team that the Warriors don't want to see without KD. They are basically the kind of team he was brought in for...a squad with a dominant wing. It will also be important to see which version of Lowry shows up and which role players are hitting shots. You also have two teams that are notorious for starting slow, so it will be interesting to see who jumps out in front early and how much of an impact that has on the series.

This. Raptors can focus mostly on Steph and I’m sorry, Klay and Draymond are not gonna beat you in a 7 game series. Klay usually doesn’t show out for finals and is to streaky to be relied upon for a while finals series especially since he probably will have Lowry or siakim watching him. Never mind if Kawhi guards him here and there. Dray has been great but if he breaks out hell mostly be guarded by Kawhi. KD slows down the offense and allows Steph to catch his breath, while beating you from different spots on the floor. The warriors offense, while slowed down, can still be deadly with KD running the show and it allows Steph more freedom to roam. One of the ways the Cavs beat the warriors is making Steph a primary target. The raptors will put great defensive attention on him while making him work on defense too. He will be drained of energy eventually. The Cavs used this very method and it worked to perfection.
