Conversely, Steph is food for Kawhi, Siakam, Lowry, and even Powell off the dribble, and they're going to seek him out on the PnR like Houston did, since Steph is very foul-prone. So it'll come down to how GSW adjusts with the help or if they'll just run the risk of Steph averaging 5 fouls again like in the WCSFs.

Anyway you slice it, it's coming down to which team has the better bball IQ and who wins all the 50/50 balls from all the resulting switches.

Lowry and Siakim are gonna get lost trying to chase down Curry moving around screens like Sonic the hedgehog.

There’s still the opportuniy to turn steph into a spot up shooter while Durant has the freedom to bring the ball up he court. It’s the same reason why Durant felt cocky enough to pull up jumpers like a guard for the last two years

They may, if they decide to defend that way.

Imo It's not the chasing though, it's the communication on the switching. Rockets and Raptors switch on the screens. The problem with facing Golden State is they're more complex and crafty on the screens than most teams, and for a big man it's easy if not natural to forget your cue to come up. Houston was pretty good at it whereas Portland didn't know what they were doing. The problem with Houston is that after the contested perimeter shot, they were too small after the switches to get the rebound. 4 of their 5 starters were 6'5 and smaller.

GSW's big advantage is their bball iq and being able to have their bigs take advantage of the mismatches even if the opposing team defends the screens correctly. Toronto got taller/bigger players than Rockets but it'll still be the same principle working against them.

Warriors in 6.

Kawhi alone will get em one, and maybe another random role player explosion at home will get them another. But, as soon as KD returns (if he does), it will cease to be any kind of contest. And overall, even without KD, everybody besides Kawhi is about to have a helluva time chasing Steph, Klay and the Weight Wachers version of Draymond around all day. I can see Ibaka and Gasol now getting put into the blender. As long as we get a few games like this though, I'm not gon' be mad.

um no
this will be the best defensive team the warriors have faced in any of their final appearances. The raptors were groomed and built to defend the warriors.
