yea, there is, people, talk about r kelly without talking about why a 15 year old girl with/from an involved nuclear family would be fukking with an old nikka and (be allowed to) marry him. to me, this would make more sense if she were one of them kids from a shyt family situation or had been in foster care or living on the streets, but her family let this happen too...aaliyah gets painted as angelic when the pieces say she might have just been on some thot shyt
What does having an involved nuclear family have to do with anything? R. Kelly was her producer at the bequest of her uncle. That's like teens who end up pregnant and in relationships with their adult teachers. Their upbringing has nothing to do with it even with the most hands on parents. Nobody expects the teacher to be having a full on relationship with their child, but it happens all the time. Nobody expects the minister to be sleeping with their children, but it happens all the time.
And it's really extreme to paint someone as they have to be an angel or a thot. We don't know one way or another. Besides stories from people she's actually been with, to paint her in either light is in error.

having sex with him and openly being married to him are two very different things...yes, there's a difference between how an involved family keeps marriage from happening vs a hands off family unless the child simply can't be controlled. and no one is calling her a thot, but she's not an angel which very much is/was how people liked to paint her due to her grace in public and death.

Her being painted as an angel has absolutely NOTHING to do with her sexuality though. When people speak of her as being an angel or angelic, it's due to her personality.
