According to Dan Akaroyd, Eddie Murphy was originally supposed to be Winston but he had a prior engagement with Beverly Hills Cop. Which, when u think about it would have made part 1 a whole different type of movie with Eddie coming in the middle of the movie like a grand appearance. Movie woulda went in a whole different direction, especially if Eddie was ad libbing.
