I heard the AI issue was more the result of playing on lower difficulties than a technical one. If you play on hard the enemies supposedly attack all at once and flank and manuever much better or so i heard.

but regardless, i always write that off as a nitpick. I never played a game before ever thought to myself, wow this enemy ai is exceptional. I either don't notice because it feels natural/good enough or it's so bad the ruins the game. No one has called the ai game breaking so, it's probably good enough for me.

Dudes say every game has bad ai. What games dont?
nah im watching this right now, the AI is pretty bad.

1) Niccas just stand there drawing a bow while you run up
2) a cat was like 20 yards away (so he obviously heard his niccas getting clapped) he just stood there with his back turned....

i aint been watching for 30 mins and this already is an issue

Maybe turning difficulty up changes it?

Last of Us 2 or this? From watching gameplays of what I assume is lower difficulty on LOU2 the AI is much more forgiving and passive.

I just like when you can see the AI is specifically reacting to you, and not just going through the motions. MGSV if you do shyt at night too much they start loading up at night. Too many headshots they start wearing helmets. LOU2 the enemies actually organize and talk to each other, not just generic yelling with some names added in. Alien Isolation the Alien had a two minds talking to each other: a passive one that knows your direction at all times, giving hints to another mind that doesn't at all.

That kinda shyt always interests me. They have to strike a fine balance because ppl really think the devs aren't capable of easily making a fair and yet damn near impossible-to-beat AI for the general public :mjlol: but they can't make them too dumb, basically they have to stroke folks ego :dame:

If you're talking about this, I've seen a few reviews mention bad stealth AI, and some other funky shyt, but with the new patch it remains to be seen what state it's in now

That lou2 point was a good one actually. I actually noticed the AI in that game and in Days Gone too, but mostly because they would talk and taunt based on your actions. I did like that now that i think of it. Like they be like "i know you're hiding out there somewhere, come out. I just want to talk." i was like :ehh: feel like i'm stalking real people. usually enemies are mute, or just have scripted dialog with each other.

Stealth and open world don't work together imo.

You can make the case stealth games in general don't work.

If your one of those realism dudes I haven't seen a stealth game that doesn't have video game type shyt in in. MGS5 is probably the best but even than there are video game moments that break the immersion.

Nothing in the stealth I've seen so far in this game tells me it's any worse than the Witcher rebooted Assassin Creed games. At least you don't see examples of niccas assassinating cats in their sleep only for it to do 15 percent of their HP
