Doesn't look like they're doing anything particularly new with combat, but it doesn't look bad. Pacing is varied which will keep it from becoming stale. As far as stances go, I hope that you dont need to play rock paper scissors and always pick the stance that counters the enemy type.

Probably because they used fire arrows on fire Bellowbacks. :pachaha:



Most people that complained about Horizon's combat either didn't take the time to learn about each machine's weaknesses & strengths, and/or didn't experiment with the options they had when it came to approaching combat.

It's definitely nuanced, but I'm extremely partial to melee combat, unless I'm playing an actual shooter. I was into it, but I fell off of it HARD when BOTW came out, and by the time I was done with that I was too far removed. I was gonna start over recently, but they announced the PC version so I'm gonna wait on that
