I beat the game on PS5 a week, and a half ago. I want to say i give it a 7.9, or a 8 out of 10. It's not GOTG material but it's a great game. I pretty much played through Jin's journey only. Took me 22 hours on hard.
Act 1 was
but most games these days (imo) don't really grab me right away (in the beginning).
Act 2 was great, the best chapter imo
Act 3 was short but good. Actually i'm glad it was shorter though because i was beginning to get that feeling like i kind of want to get this over with already by the finale. I love the settings in this chapter the most.
The story itself was cool. There were some crazy moments. Some of it was predictable, coinvent at times, and i question some of the character's actions though.
The game looks very vivid, and smooth af on the ps5. I'm glad i waited. Props to ya who beat it on hard, or lethal on 30fps. You have to have quick reflexes on this game.
People compare GOT to Assassin's Creed. Imo they look, and play like completely different games. They have some similar elements i guess but the new Assassin's Creed games especially are definitely not comparable. You don't have to grind 8 hours straight to progress one mission in GOT for instance. GOT has memorable characters (Jin lowkey is kind of boring but supporting cast is great). I barely "Assassinated" anyone in my playthrough. Jin is a samurai, not an assassin. Honestly i would compare GOT to Witcher 3 more than AC. It's not on TW3's level, but i see the potential. Strangely enough i'd kind of compare AC to TW3 as well. But not AC, and GOT.
The combat in GOT damn near God tier. It's just the camera could be better, and i feel like in most boss fight because the camera is so close. They pull you towards the enemy to keep you both in the frame. You can literally run in the opposite direction, and you'll still feel like you're in the boss' radius. You still get hit because of it to. Perfect parry's don't register when it should sometimes as well (at least not for me it didn't). Parrying is basically a must for boss battles. If you don't do the side missions, and or upgrade Jin's ability. Them boss battles will be long, and tedious af since Jin's attack would be so week. Upgrade, and it's a basically a breeze.
Overall i can see how someone can give the game a 9/10 I didn't play but probably two sidequest, and i'm guessing they're pretty good, and really power's up Jin. But if you enjoy those then yeah, i presume a 9/10.
I'm looking forward to the sequel. I know they won't do this but

Ryuzo's betrayal (i think they wanted us to think it beforehand, at least i hope they did), Taka dying, Khotun Khan letting Jin live when he could have easily bodied him himself, then Jin conveniently breaks out of rope with just his hands/strength, then Yuna conveniently runs into him. Shimura (This nikka is the real antagonist of Jin's journey lol) literally letting his people die because "honor", and he wants to fight fair etc. I allowed that fn Shimura to keep breathing at the end, but only because it's the canon ending. Killing Jin's family member would make absolutely no sense, whether Shimura wanted it/deserved it or not.

I want to play as other people in Jin's camp. Yuna especially (she's too hardbody ). Maybe even Masako, and Ishikawa
