My first time being able to do nightmare I didn't even know it was level basedCouldn't do it this whole time and finally tried just now...needless to say my entire team left the room when they saw my favorite blast throwing crowOf course I tried to fight an entire level by myself Of course that didn't end well

Until I get the Legendary Katana with all styles it seems like Water Katana is the best Katana for all around melee combat. The surging Strikes pretty much destroys the defense of anything including swords, shields, and brute characters. The spear guys seem to be the toughest to stagger their block though. I try to keep the increasing damage perk for Surging strikes.

Right now I have a water and moon stance I can usually hold my own against oni, brutes, and regular soldiers pretty good long as I'm not overwhelmed. I think that and stone and moon are the best combinations. The water combo is excellent though as the multiple strikes absolutely decimates any shield.Spearman I don't know they need to patch them these guys seem to get through regardless of your parry timing and I hate that they can rush you so quickly

I think you get the character to level 18 and you can unlock the "Use 2 legendaries" ability.

yeah I ended up going to techniques and seeing it there. Only problem is I have to trade the Hachiman extra strikes Perk for it.

Honestly I use heavenly strike more plus I use an item to add extra resolve so I always have some with me. That's just me though
