Not really. Some characters are referenced in main game quests but nothing pertaining to the story.

Nah, it just references some of the locations and Mythic Tales. Got nothing to do with the main line of the story really outside of the fact that Mongols are scumbags.

I haven't touched new game plus at all. Just multiplayer.

Started with samurai but will likely switch to assassin ASAP cause that ghost armor is too fly. I chose samurai for other reasons but I’m just glad to know you can get more than one stance. Moon and water stance for me ( that wheelkick and guard break ) Mostly been on new game+ but will grind for legends now that y’all told me

So according to the creative director, the weather isnt only influenced by your flute, but also by whether or not you embrace the "ghost" persona. Frequent use of "dishonorable" tactics via the Ghost skill tree will result in the island reflecting that symbolic darkness.

Basically, as you succumb to the darkness, so does the island.

Samurai = sunny, clear weather.
Ghost = ominious, foreboding weather.
