Gameplay is gonna make or break this. The atmosphere/story will only carry it so far. After playing the shyt outta Nioh, and about to do the same with Nioh 2, if the combat mechanics/depth aren't on point, it's gonna be a major letdown to me.

Figured it was coming this summer, just thought it was gonna be an August launch.

Late June is great though, I'll be done with LoU2 by then.

And with this... all of the big PS4 exclusives are done.

Only thing Nioh got is actual movesets and weapons

The mission shyt is wack
Nioh's entire combat system takes a dump on Sekiro. The gameplay isn't even close, and (for me, anyways), with these types of games, it's all about how the game plays. What 'mission shyt'? It's pretty straightforward IMO. You have main missions and side missions. IIRC, most side missions are not required to progress. You might have to do one here and there to open up the next part of the map.

I played Sekiro for a bit when it came out, and got bored and went right back to Nioh. These sword/samurai type games gonna have to come correct with the combat mechanics or it's straight to the bushes.

It is straightforward that’s what I don’t like :russ: I wanna move around not drop in this closed space then dip out.

But as far as gameplay I also don’t like variety as much tbf. I want the system laid out, give me one weapon, and make me master it the game, not figure out what works best. That’s why I honestly put Sekiro at the top of From’s games so far. I tend to get analysis paralysis in their traditional Soulsborne’s

I was just talking shyt tho I don’t hate Nioh I just fw Sekiro way more. They’re both better than Fallen Order at least :yeshrug:
