You complaining about a homogenized experience to ask for games to be more homogeneous? Let the Ghost franchise be different from the vast majority of mainstream feudal Japan games that have a supernatural element.

Repetition is part of any game design, especially open world games. How many times do you run into the same scenarios in RDRII (breaking out prisoners, ambushes etc)?

In terms of assets re-use, there are hardware limitations and this is a relatively small team when compared to other Sony studios. This is pretty much Sucker Punch’s breakout game. Yes, the inFamous and Sly Cooper series were good and popular but this is their “Uncharted” moment. The game has proven to be a commercial success and thus the team will likely grow for a more ambitious sequel on hardware that’s a lot more powerful. M

You don’t need a supernatural factor to offer new and varied enemy types and combat encounters.

Enemy AI will be much better, the ability to load crazy amount of information nearly instantaneously from the SSD will alleviate asset re-use as well as allow for more enemies on screen.

drop me in the middle of a mongol army dual wielding two katanas like my boy Shinomori Aoshi

That was Helluva a ending brehs this and Last of Us Part 2 back to back I’ve had a great video game summer :mjcry:

I spared Lord Shimura I had no honor :wow:
The sequel is easily one of my most anticipated games for next gen. They could use mainland Japan for the map and add dual wielding swords, a glider like Breath of the Wild, Enhanced AI and a whole bunch of crazy shyt man sucker punch made something special brehs :wow:

I didn’t finish everything in act 2 before attacking the cask Shimura, I thought I’ll be able to go back and finish.

update: I’m in exile I should have read something before doing that Shimura mission

I'm glad they added lethal mode, because once you get a few abilities the game is a cakewalk on hard if you're used to Nioh, Sekiro, etc. Lethal is more fun because the fights end quickly so you have to really have to think about your approach for each situation. I'm going back and finish the side missions I didn't finish before beating the game.

I’m just finishing mopping up everything in the first area before moving on with the story, is there just as much stuff to do in areas 2 & 3?

they don't need to go sci fi and super natural for that. Just good writing, make some badass characters you have to fight. Maybe Ghost influenced the formation of a ninja clan, now you gotta fight ninjas and samurai. Dude using smoke bombs against you, trying to sneank up on you would be dope.
The uncle already hinted that he wouldn't be able to controll the people he influenced. Feel like this whole game was hinted at possibly going against ninjas in the next game. That would doper to me than some demons.
