According to her we won't get a prequel of Ghost and Tommy because everyone knows how they started and end up (well Ghost anyway) but yet we get a prequel on Kanan when the first teaser trailer literally said the same thing about his character.
And yeah, nobody wanted that little snotface Tariq to have a spinoff which incidentally is the wackest of them all and just a soap opera with a little bit of action thrown in. Him still wanting to be in the streets after getting his own twin sister killed makes zero sense at all, but hey that's Courtney's little pet because he killed the character she subconciously resents lol.
Even when Tommy and his Grandma pointed it out to his lil stupid ass it still didn't resonate. I know its a character lol but man FUCCK Tariq

This is just a theory, but I almost feel like Courtney left Book II because the show is making Tariq accountable for his actions, and she doesn't want to be there when he eventually gets the needle or shot in the head.
