*Africa's love affair.

been told the coli for years bout this and the American supremacists here were on some nah man Africans listen to more ADOS music and are more inspired by it. meanwhile the biggest genre in the continent is constantly paying homage to Jamaica. There's a reason hip hop never had a solid run on the continent. it's just not as organic in that environment.
You just had to include ADOs in your post huh? The thread is about Ghana's love for reggae and Jamaica. But you can't help yourself any chance you get you gotta say something negative about Black people from America. Ol jealous ass bytch.

When I visited "Africa", rastas were there and not respected. Usually beggars and bums.

I heard mostly african genres and then rnb/rap and reggae about equally.

I remember a video of 2 Ghanaians having a patois battle and arguing who knows more about Jamaica.

It got so heated man brought out the COD zombies Ray gun :dead:

Funny part is, none of them nikkas sound Jamaican. :dead:

this is most of africa besides the North

Plus South Africa and Nigeria, the AA is bigger in these countries and you see it in the music in regards to South African House and Amapiano, and Afrobeat and Afrobeats, modern Afrobeats has some dancehall influence but the RNB House influence is still bigger.

Saying that someone will probably come in and name Lucky Dube but Nigeria’s Lucky Dube equivalent is Fela Kuti which says it all.

They actually do. Sounds like Jamaican country people.
And Jamaican country people sound "African", even use African words.
Not to real Island nikkas.

But u right about Yardie patois having African words and that’s true for all Caribbean creoles. They’re a mixture of European, African and Amerindian languages.

One example

“

Azande warriors. From The Heart of Africa or Three Years' Travels and Adventures in the Unexplored Regions of the Centre of Africa, by Georg Schweinfurth 1873
The word Azande means "the people who possess much land", and refers to their history as conquering warriors.[citation needed] Variant spellings include Zande, Azande, Azandeh, Azende, Bazende,[2] Zandeh, A-Zandeh, and Sandeh.[citation needed] Another name is Adio.[citation needed]

The onomatopoeic name Niam-Niam suggests cannibalism and was sometimes used for the Azande people.[7] It was possibly circulated intentionally to create fear among ethnic groups in the Azande's period of regional conquest.[7] The name shows up on 19th-century maps of Southern Sudan as is now considered pejorative.[7] First used by other tribes in southern Sudan, it was later adopted by Westerners,[citation needed] who frequently used it to refer to the Azande in the 18th and early 19th century.[citation needed] The British Museum website indicates as spelling variants Niam niam, Niam-niam, Nyam nyam, Nyam-nyam, Neam Nam, Neam Neam, Neam-Nam, and Neam-Neam.”

The word nyam means to eat in Jamaican, Antiguan, Vincentian, Montserrat, etc creoles

You see it…

Not even sure why african americans were mentioned in here. The hate/jealousy we get is funny at times :pachaha:
